Recent History
The Havant & Waterlooville Supporters' Team was revived in 2006 when they played their first game away to Bognor in Pagham, the team lost 10-0 and the management duo at the time were Malc Jamieson and Mark 'Ketchup' Cooper.
The team then played several games across the following few seasons against teams such as Welling, Basingstoke Town and Farnborough. The team continued to be managed by Malc Jamieson and played in tournaments at Farnborough and Eastbourne.
Les Hyson took over in 2008 and the team continued to play friendlies against fellow supporters teams. In early 2009 Les stepped down and Nathan Young took over.
The team played matches against teams such as AFC Smokefree and began to play regular home and away games against the local rivals Eastleigh, a long winless run against the Spitfires was finally ended in August 2010 when the Hawks defeated them 7-4 at the Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth, the return game away at Eastleigh didn't go the supporter's way as they were heavily defeated 10-2.
Following the poor result was followed by the resignation of Nathan Young, after a short break the team was then re-revived by Lee Roberts with Steve Talman as his assistant, his first game was an embarrassing 9-2 defeat to Mead End FC. His second game ended in a 3-0 defeat to Tescos XI, the poor results and other commitments meant that Lee was unable to continue as manager.
Upstepped Steve Talman to take over the reigns, his first job was to manage the Hawks in the Worthing tournament, the team eventually finished 8th out of 16 but failed to make it through to the semi-finals. His first full game was away to Salisbury Supporters where the Hawks lost 10-1 despite scoring the first goal, since then the team has faced Eastleigh in a 6-a-side where the lost 2-0. The team now has a tough run of friendly games as they will face P&I Generators in a 7-a-side game, Portsmouth Sunday League Division 1 side Stronstad FC as well as return games against Eastleigh Supporters and Tescos XI.
